Vaibhav Sooryavanshi played just two games in NZ vs IND T20I series.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued missing from India‘s playing XI for the fifth T20I against New Zealand on October 30. Ishan Kishan, who replaced him in 4th game, after recovering from a low-grade right adductor strain continued featuring in the side.
New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner won the toss and elected to bowl first in last game. He mentioned that his side has made two changes with Varun Chakravarthy replacing Axar Patel, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar returning to playing XI in place of Mayank Yadav.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi had featured in the second and third T20Is as a replacement for Kishan, who was unavailable due to his injury. With the wicketkeeper-batter now fit and available for selection, the young opener has made way for him.
Kishan’s return gives India another experienced option at the top of the batting order. He is expected to bat at three with Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson taking the opening slot. Sooryavanshi, meanwhile, will have every right to be disappointed.
He played a brilliant cameo of 45 off 19 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes in third game. Sooryavanshi added 133 runs with Abhishek Sharma in 7.1 overs and helped India record the highest powerplay score.
India will now look to bounce back after losing last game. New Zealand, on the other hand, will aim to finish the series on a high. The fifth T20I also gives the hosts another opportunity to test themselves against India’s aggressive batting approach.
