Cummins joined the SRH camp earlier in March. He started his rehab in Bengaluru with the team’s medical staff. Later, he returned to Australia for scans under Cricket Australia. He rejoined the squad on April 17.
Even after returning, Pat is still working on his fitness. He missed the previous match against the Chennai Super Kings. Head coach Daniel Vettori has already revealed his comeback plans. He confirmed that Cummins will only be available from April 25, from the match against the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur.
This means Cummins is unlikely to feature in today’s game against the Delhi Capitals. SRH will need to manage without their main leader once again. However, the team still has strong players to compete.
The Hyderabad pitch and crowd support could help SRH. Delhi Capitals will try to take advantage of Cummins’ absence. Fans can expect a close contest between the two teams.
