Mumbai Indians (MI) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are battling in their last match of the league stage in the Indian Premier League 2026. Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai is the venue of the encounter.
MI captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to field first in the clash. The hosts rested pacer Jasprit Bumrah and added Shardul Thakur to the playing XI. This was the only change they made to their side.
For Rajasthan Royals, captain Riyan Parag and Ravindra Jadeja returned to the playing XI after missing the previous clash. They also replaced pacer Sandeep Sharma with Nandre Burger.
MI have already been eliminated from the tournament and languish in the ninth spot in the points table. Rajasthan Royals can book a place in the playoffs if they defeat MI.

Yes, RR will be eliminated from IPL 2026 if they lose against Mumbai at Wankhede Stadium. They currently take the fifth spot in the points table with 14 points. Out of 13 games, they have won seven and lost six.
If RR win the clash, they will finish in the fourth spot in the points table and book a berth in the playoffs. However, if they lose the encounter, they will be eliminated. After their defeat, either Punjab Kings or Kolkata Knight Riders can become the fourth team to reach the playoffs.
Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Titans, and Sunrisers Hyderabad are three teams that have booked a place in the playoffs. RCB and GT are set to clash in Qualifier 1. The fourth team in the playoffs will collide with SRH in the Eliminator.
