Vaibhav Sooryavanshi engages in a huge fight after the Sri Lanka A vs India A clash.
India A were in action on June 15 for their second match against Sri Lanka A at Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka. India lost the match in the Super Over by 7 runs.
India were put to bat first. Prabhsimran Singh and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi could score only 11 and 21 runs, respectively. Tilak Varma and Ruturaj Gaikwad also failed to go big. With a 72-run innings from Suryansh Shedge and a half-century from Vipraj Nigam, India posted 265 on the board.
When the Lankan team came out to bat, their batsmen played well according to the conditions, and thanks to Sadeera Samarawickrama’s 93-run knock, Sri Lanka never fell out of the match. It was in the end that they stumbled and landed themselves in a draw.
India were keen on a Super Over; however, the umpires were hesitant due to bad light. After elaborate deliberation, the Super Over was conducted, and SL-A went on to win the match by 7 runs.
What followed that win was a display of poor sportsmanship by both teams. Ahead of India’s upcoming match, everyone is wondering whether Sooryavanshi will be suspended.
Will Vaibhav Sooryavanshi be suspended?

After the Super Over, aggression was evident between the two teams, and a heated argument ensued. There was hostile conduct between Vaibhav and some Sri Lankan players, engaging in a brief scuffle.
This incident was criticised on social media, and people expressed diverse opinions. However, what matters is how the International Cricket Council (ICC) perceives it.
Reports suggest that no suspension of Sooryavanshi is on the cards so far. As far as demerit points are concerned, there is no official statement regarding this either.
On the other hand, Cricbuzz has reported that Vishen Halambage has been fined by the match referee, Pradeep Jeyapragash, for his on-field altercation with Sooryavanshi.
India A will play their last match of this Tri-Nation A Series on June 17 against Afghanistan A, and this is a do-or-die match for India. If India fail to win, they will be eliminated, and Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will play the final of the series on June 21.
All eyes will be on the teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who has not lived up to the standards he has set for himself. Ruturaj Gaikwad is the leading run-scorer of the series with more than 200 runs to his name, and will be another key player for India.
