Vaibhav Sooryavanshi didn’t play first two games of IND vs WI T20I series.
India and West Indies will face each other in the third T20I of the five-match series at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Sunday, October 11. With the series level at 1-1, both teams will look to take the lead in the contest.
India won the opening match, but West Indies bounced back in Ranchi by chasing down a target of 250 runs. Shai Hope and Sherfane Rutherford played important roles in the successful chase, exposing India’s bowling concerns.
India’s batters have performed well in both matches. Shreyas Iyer scored an unbeaten 102 in the series opener, while Sanju Samson smashed 82 off just 41 balls in the second T20I.
The third T20I will be an important game for India as they look to take control of the series. The team will aim to put up a strong total with the bat and improve their bowling after the second match. West Indies, meanwhile, will look to carry the momentum from their successful chase in Ranchi.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is unlikely to feature in the third T20I against the West Indies. The young batter has not played in either of the first two matches, and India may continue with their existing combination for the Indore game.
Sanju Samson‘s performance in the second T20I could make it difficult for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to find a place in the playing XI. Samson scored 82 runs from 41 deliveries in Ranchi, helping India post a total of 249/5.
His aggressive batting has strengthened his position as an opener alongside Abhishek Sharma. India may prefer to retain the same opening combination rather than make changes before an important match in the series.
Vaibhav is part of India’s squad but will have to wait for an opportunity if the team management sticks with their current combination. India will also look for improvements from its bowlers as it aims to take a 2-1 lead in the series.
