Vaibhav Sooryavanshi last played against Pakistan in the gold medal match at the Asian Games 2026.
The stage is set for the fourth T20I between India and the West Indies. The match will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, Telangana, and will start at 7:00 PM IST.
The Men in Blue started the series with an 8-wicket triumph over the West Indies. Naman Dhir took three wickets while skipper Shreyas Iyer scored 102 runs off 43 deliveries. However, India lost the second match due to Shai Hope’s magnificent unbeaten knock of 102 runs off 45 balls and Sherfane Rutherford’s first 84-run innings.
The three-time T20 World Cup champions returned in the third game as they defeated the Caribbean side by 14 runs at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. While the India currently lead the series 2-1, they are yet to give Vaibhav Sooryavanshi an opportunity.
Thus, with the fourth T20I approaching, fans are wondering if they will get to see the 15-year-old in action against the West Indies.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi could potentially start for India in the fourth T20I. If he starts, he would most likely be replacing Sanju Samson in the opening pair. As a result, Samson would move down in the batting order. A number of changes would be required in the line-up if the skipper and the coach decide to give the 15-year-old a chance.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi also posted on Instagram on Monday, looking ready to play a starting role in the Indian team against the Caribbean side. He wrote in the caption of the social media post:
“Stay seated!”
However, it remains to be seen if the 15-year-old gets an opportunity to start against the West Indies. The Rajasthan Royals’ opening batter has played a total of eight T20Is for the Men in Blue, where he has scored 246 runs with an average of 30.75, and his highest score has been 81.
If Sooryavanshi fails to make the cut for India in today’s match and they win, he would be more likely to get an opportunity in the final game of the series because the Men in Blue would have already won the series.
