He scored a century against Andhra Pradesh during that season and followed in with another brilliant half-century knock. His return came after the Indian selectors asked the veteran batter to play domestic cricket to keep his preparation for the ODIs on track.
The upcoming domestic season has again raised doubts regarding the possibility of Kohli making himself available for Delhi. There has been a new statement released by Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), which has shed some light on the position taken by the association.
Rohan Jaitley confirms Virat Kohli will play for Delhi when available

According to India Today, DDCA president Rohan Jaitley has confirmed that Virat Kohli remains firmly in Delhi’s plans and will represent the state whenever he is available.
“Whenever available, keeping his international commitments and workload management in mind, he definitely and certainly will play for the state again,” said Jaitley in his statement.
This, however, does not imply that he would be participating in all the matches for the domestic team this season. This is completely contingent upon his participation in the international games as well as the needs of the Indian national team. What can be inferred from the statements of the DDCA president is that he is definitely welcomed by Delhi cricket.
However his return to domestic cricket marked a very significant moment for Delhi cricket during the last season. His arrival at the Arun Jaitley stadium created a lot of excitement among the fans. Therefore, the presence of Kohli even in a few games will definitely be an asset for the Delhi cricket team.
Therefore, from this perspective, nothing can be confirmed as of now on Kohli’s participation, yet the words from Jaitley is indicative towards a massive ray of hope for the Delhi cricket fans. Meanwhile, Kohli is supposed to return to international action with the upcoming series against West Indies.
