WPL 2024 auction: Full list of players who have base price of 40 Lakhs and 50 Lakhs
WPL 2024 auction is all set to take place on 9th December 2023 in Mumbai.
The inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) was a big success, and now the second season of the league is all set to take place in the coming few months. Before that, the mini-auction will take place in Mumbai. The WPL 2024 auction will take place on December 9.
There are 165 women’s cricketers who have registered for the auction and will go under the hammer. A total of 104 are Indian women’s cricketers, while 61 are overseas stars. 50 lakhs is the highest base price, and there are only two players on this list, while there are four superstars in the 40 lakhs bracket. In this article, we will talk about six players who have registered themselves in the 40 and 50 lakhs bracket.
Here are the list of players who have base price of 40 Lakhs and 50 Lakhs in WPL 2024 auction.
6 – Annabel Sutherland (Australia) – 40 Lakhs:
Australian all-rounder Annabel Sutherland is one of four players with a base price of 40 lakhs. The all-rounder has represented Australia in all three formats and will be up for grabs at the auction. She can add value in both departments of the game and is one of the hot prospects among the WPL teams. She was part of the Gujarat Giants in last season and was released.
5 – Georgia Wareham (Australia) – 40 Lakhs:
Star Australian pacer Georgia Wareham will be another brilliant pacer who will be part of the upcoming WPL 2024 auction. She has won a number of matches for her country on her own. In 46 T20Is, she has taken 44 wickets at an economy rate of 6.23 and will be on the list of a few WPL teams.
4 – Amy Jones (England) – 40 Lakhs:
English wicket-keeper batter Amy Jones has also put her name in the 40-lakh bracket for the WPL 2024 auction. She is an experienced player for England. Jones has played 91 T20Is and scored 1327 runs at a strike rate of 121.18. She is a brilliant middle-order batter who can finish the game with her ability.
3 – Shabnim Ismail (South Africa) – 40 Lakhs:
Veteran South African pacer Shabnim Ismail, who was part of the UP Warriorz, was released ahead of the auction. Hence, she will be featured at the auction at a base price of INR 40 lakhs. She took three wickets in three games and will be a must-win player to have.
2 – Kim Garth (Australia) – 50 Lakhs:
Australian all-rounder Kim Garth will be back at the auction. She played for the Gujarat Giants last season. She didn’t have a great season for the GG, and the franchise released her. She will be back at the auction at a base price of INR 50 lakhs. Garth played seven games and took 11 wickets, and he can be a good addition to the team.
1 – Deandra Dottin (West Indies) – 50 Lakhs:
Dangerous West Indian all-rounder Deandra Dottin will be one of two with a base price of INR 50 lakhs. She is a powerful player who can win games with both the bat and the ball. She was not part of the first edition, but now she will be one of the biggest players to sign. Dottin has played 127 T20Is and scored 2697 runs with 62 wickets.
