WPL 2024 auction: Full list of players bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Bangalore bought a total of 7 players in the WPL 2024 auction.
Royal Challengers Bangalore had a disappointing inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League. Looked as the future leader of the Indian women’s cricket team, Smriti Mandhana couldn’t impress everyone with her leadership skills. RCB had a wonderful squad on paper but they couldn’t get their act together on the field and finished 4th in a five-team Women’s Premier League. RCB will be looking to break the jinx of no trophies.
Royal Challengers Bangalore needed 7 players to fill in their squad along with one overseas member in their camp. RCB didn’t hinder much on their side as they were targeting players for specific positions from the WPL auction 2024. RCB bought four all-rounders and three bowlers in the WPL auction 2024.
RCB had 3.35 crore in their purse
Bengaluru-based franchise retained 11 of their players from the previous season and left the place open for 7 players. RCB got a huge benefit from this strategy as they have a great mix of experience in their camp now. Royal Challengers Bangalore had 3.35 crore rupees ahead of the auction and they used it for their benefit during the auction. Smriti Mandhana-led side will look to have a turnaround season in the WPL season two.
For RCB, Young Kiwi star Sophie Devine was the leading run-scorer in the WPL 2023. Right-hander played all 8 games for the franchise and scored 266 runs at an average of 33.25 and an impressive strike rate of 172.72. Devine also smashed two half-centuries for her side. Young leg-spinner Shreyanka Patil was the leading wicket-taker for the RCB in WPL season one as she picked up 6 wickets in 7 games.
