WPL 2025 is scheduled to start on February 14.

The third season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is scheduled to kick off on February 14, 2025. The opening game of the tournament will see Gujarat Giants taking on defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Vadodara.

The WPL 2025 will feature 22 matches over 29 days. The 20 league games will be followed by an eliminator and the final. The knockout stage of the tournament will begin on February 13.

A total of five teams – Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and UP Warriorz will take part in the competition.

The playoffs stage in the WPL has a different format compared to the Indian Premier League (IPL). The top three teams from the league stage advance to the playoffs.

The team ranked first goes straight to the final. The second and third-placed teams play an eliminator match, where the winners qualify for the final and the loser is eliminated. The final is played between the top-placd team and winners of the eliminator.

In the two editions so far, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru have won one title each.
