WPL 2026 dates and venues announced; Tournament to be played in Navi Mumbai and Vadodara

WPL 2026 will be played in January-February 2026.
The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 season four will be played from January 9 to February 5 at two venues as announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on November 27, 2025. Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy Navi Mumbai, and Vadodara were confirmed as the two host venues.
The announcement was made by the WPL Committee Chairman Jayesh George before the competition’s first-ever mega auction began in New Delhi on Thursday.
The WPL 2026 auction took place on November 27, 2025, in Delhi, and the tournament will likely be played in two phases. The DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai will host the opening match of WPL 2026. On the other hand, BCA Stadium in Vadodara will host the final of the tournament.

DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai and BCA Stadium in Vadodara to host WPL 2026

Around noon, the WPL Committee met at the auction site to finalize the dates and locations; the complete timetable is anticipated to be released shortly.
According to George’s dates, the fourth WPL final will take place in India and Sri Lanka two days before the start of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026
The Kotambi stadium will host the opening match of the men’s ODI series between India and New Zealand on January 11, which is another reason for retaining the second half of WPL 2026 in Vadodara.
One of the four WPL hosts in 2025, Vadodara, will now host the whole second half and the knockout stages, which include the crucial title match. After India won the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 on November 2, the competition will also be the first major women’s tournament which will be played since then.
Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of India who won the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, is at the Mumbai Indians (MI) table at the mega auction with team owners, Jhulan Goswami, and new coach Lisa Keightley. Head coach Jonathan Batty and director of cricket Sourav Ganguly make up Delhi Capitals’ (DC) stellar lineup.
Gujarat Giants (GG) is represented by Pravin Tambe and Michael Klinger, while RCB has recently appointed assistant coach Anya Shrubsole at the table with head coach Malolan Rangarajan. New UP Warriorz (UPW) head coach Abhishek Nayar and mentor Lisa Sthalekar are also present.
