227 players will undergo the hammer in the WPL 2026 mega auction.

The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 mega auction is all set to take place on November 27, 2025 in Delhi. This will be the second mega auction in the history of tournament, which witnessed its maiden edition in 2023.

A total of 227 players will undergo the hammer in WPL 2026 mega auction and battle for the 73 available spots. Out of these, there are 23 slots reserved for overseas players.

There are 194 Indian players shortlisted, including 52 capped and 142 uncapped players, and 83 overseas players, which include 66 capped players and 17 uncapped players. 19 players have placed themselves in the highest base-price bracket of Rs 50 lakhs. There are 11 players in the Rs. 40-lakh bracket, while 88 players are present in Rs. 30 lakhs bracket.

Deepti Sharma, Renuka Singh, Sophie Devine, Sophie Ecclestone, Alyssa Healy, Amelia Kerr, Meg Lanning and Laura Wolvaardt are a few prominent names that are expected to fetch massive bids franchises following their impressive show in the recently-concluded ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Delhi Capitals (DC), Mumbai Indians (MI), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), and UP Warriors (UPW) are five franchises that will participate in WPL 2026 auction.

Ahead of the auction, each team was allowed to retain upto five players in their squad. DC and MI were the two teams that retained five players, while UP Warriorz retained only one member in their side.

WPL 2026 auction: Purse available for all franchise

UP Warriorz have the maximum salary cap available at Rs. 14.50 crores, followed by Gujarat Giants with Rs. 9 crores. DC Women have the lowest salary cap available at Rs. 5.70 crores.

2. Gujarat Giants: INR 9 crores

3. Mumbai Indians: INR 5.75 crores

4. UP Warriorz: INR 14.5 crores

5. Royal Challengers Bengaluru: INR 6.15 crores
