Delhi Capitals’ Nandini Sharma clinched a fifer in the 4th match of WPL 2026.
The fourth match of Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 is taking place between Delhi Capitals (DC) Women and Gujarat Giants (GG) Women at DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Sunday, January 11. DC Women’s pacer Nandani Sharma rocked the field with a sensational hat-trick in the clash.
DC Women won the toss and opted to bowl first in the encounter. Gujarat’s opener Sophie Devine hammered a marvellous 95-run knock at the start, followed by Ashleigh Gardner’s 49 runs. However, their middle-order batters failed to make a mark with the bat.
In the final over of their innings, pacer Nandini Sharma clinched a stunning hat-trick. In the last three deliveries of her over, she dismissed Kanika Ahuja, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, and Renuka Singh in back-to-back deliveries to script history. Earlier, she took two more wickets, dismissing Sophie Devine and Kashvee Gautam, claiming a five-wicket haul in the encounter.

Overall, Nandani became the fourth bowler to claim a hat-trick in WPL history. It is the first in this edition, which commenced on January 9. Previously, Issy Wong, Deepti Sharma, and Grace Harris claimed the marvellous achievement in the league’s history.
