WPL 2027: List of all players retained & released by RCB
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won the WPL 2026 beating Delhi Capitals (DC) in final.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB-W) made history and won the fourth edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2026), beating Delhi Capitals (DC-W) in the final. Smriti Mandhana led the franchise for the second title in four seasons.
They will defend their title in the upcoming season, WPL 2027. RCB-W will aim to become the first team to win the WPL title thrice in the upcoming season.
But before that, the franchise will be keen to make the necessary changes to their squad during the upcoming WPL 2027 auction and make the team even stronger. The WPL 2027 auction is scheduled to take place on October 28 at Grand Hyatt Kochi.
Ahead of the mini auction, all five franchises were given a deadline of September 28 (Monday) to submit the list of released players. The defending champions have revealed the list of players that they have released ahead of the auction.

The franchise has not touched the combination that won them the title last season. They will have almost a similar squad, which featured in the WPL 2026. Captain Smriti Mandhana will lead the side, which includes Indian superstars like Richa Ghosh, Shreyanka Patil, Pooja Vastrakar, and Radha Yadav.
The biggest news is the retention of Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry. The 35-year-old withdrew from the last season due to personal reasons. Reportedly, the franchise has confirmed Perry’s availability for the next season and decided to retain her.
Georgia Voll, Nadine de Klerk, and Lauren Bell are the other overseas retentions. A total of 12 players are retained by RCB-W ahead of the upcoming WPL 2027 auction.

List of players released by RCB before WPL 2027 auction
The shocking name to get released by RCB-W is veteran Australian star Grace Harris. The 33-year-old joined the franchise last season and did pretty well. She scored 237 runs in nine innings at 26.33 and a strike rate of 178.19. She also won two Player of the Match awards.
But she has been released, along with England’s Linsey Smith, who played three games last season. Gautami Naik and Dayalan Hemalatha are the other two players who got released. Gautami played four matches last season and won the POTS award in one of the games.
