Wriddhiman Saha international cricket career in numbers

Wriddhiman Saha retired from all forms of cricket on February 1, 2025.
Indian wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha played his last representative cricket match on February 1, 2025. Last year, Saha had confirmed that the ongoing domestic season would be his last and he would bid adieu to international, domestic, cricket and the IPL.
Saha started his domestic career in 2007, making his First Class and List A debuts against Hyderabad and Assam, respectively.
He received his test and ODI caps in 2010, but it was only after MS Dhoni’s test retirement at the end of 2014 that he became a regular member of India’s test team. In 2018, he was replaced by Rishabh Pant in the role and managed to make only a few appearances after Pant’s rise.
Saha earned a reputation as being one of the best wicket-keepers of his generation.
Wriddhiman Saha’s international career with the bat
Saha represented India in 49 international games – 40 tests and nine ODIs. He was well-known in the Indian circuit for his excellent glovework behind the stumps.
In test cricket, he scored 1,353 runs at an average of 29.71, with three centuries and six half-centuries. His career-best score of 117 came against Australia in Ranchi in 2017.
Saha failed to grab his chances in ODI cricket, scoring only 41 runs in nine ODIs at an average of 13.66. He never played a T20I.

ODI – 41 runs in 5 innings at an average of 13.66
Wriddhiman Saha’s international career as a wicket-keeper
As a wicket-keeper, Saha brought security behind the stumps. He recorded 122 dismissals in his international career – 104 in tests and 18 in ODIs.
Saha’s wicket-keeping numbers across formats:
Test – 104 dismissals, 92 catches and 12 stumpings.
ODI – 18 dismissals, 17 catches and 1 stumpings
