Yashasvi Jaiswal climbs 14 spots in latest ICC test batsmen rankings

Yashasvi Jaiswal climbed up in the latest ICC Test rankings following his incredible 214* against England in the Rajkot test.
India and England are going neck-to-neck in the ongoing five-match test series, which the Rohit Sharma-led side leading the series 2-1 against the Ben Stokes-led side. But the main highlight of the current test series is the rise of Indian left-handed opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has taken giant strides in test cricket.
The 22-year-old Indian batter, Yashasvi Jaiswal, is currently the leading run-scorer in the IND vs ENG five-match test series. Jaiswal has hammered 545 runs in 3 matches with a stunning average of 109. The Indian left-handed batter has also smashed 50 fours and 22 sixes in the six innings he has batted till now.
In Vizag test, Jaiswal scored his maiden double ton, which guided the hosts to a easy victory. Jaiswal took the English bowlers and hammered 214* off just 236 balls with the help of 14 fours and 12 sixes to help India win the third test match in Rajkot.
The young Indian opener, Yashasvi Jaiswal will eye the historic record of legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar and become the second India batter to score 700 or more in a bilateral test series.
Yashasvi Jaiswal takes huge jump in the latest ICC test rankings
After his scorching performance in the the Rajkot match, Jaiswal registered a massive jump of 14 places and is now comfortably occupying the 15th spot in the latest ICC Men’s test rankings, which was announced on February 21, Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Indian team captain Rohit Sharma also made significant strides in the latest ICC test rankings. Rohit sits at the 12th spot after smashing a crucial hundred in the Rajkot match against England in the first innings.

Latest ICC Test Bowling Rankings:
Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who picked up a five-wicket haul in the Rajkot test against England, which came in winning cause, has helped him gain three places, and he is now sitting at the sixth position in the latest ICC rankings for test bowlers.
Meanwhile, India’s senior off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who achieved the 500-wicket milestone in the third test match against the English, also moved to the second spot in the latest ICC rankings for test bowlers.

India’s ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who will not take part in the upcoming fourth test match in Ranchi, is comfortably holding the top spot in the latest ICC rankings for test bowlers.
