Yashasvi Jaiswal has been one of the most consistent batters for India in test cricket of late.
Indian Cricket Team opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has achieved a massive feat in the history of Indian test cricket. The young batter became the joint fastest batter from his country to score 2000 runs in the longest format of the game, joining Rahul Dravid and Virender Sehwag.
Yashasvi Jaiswal achieved the feat in the ongoing second innings of the second test between the England Cricket Team and the Indian Cricket Team. The match between the teams is taking place at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
Jaiswal, since the time he made his debut for India, has been a different beast altogether. The left-hander has been one of the best batters for the team in the tests as has been consistently scoring runs while batting at the top.
Jaiswal started the England tour on a high as he hit a magnificent century in the first game at Headingly in Leeds. He continued his golden form in the second game as well, playing an innings of 87 runs in the first innings and then followed it up with a decent knock in the second innings.
