Yashasvi Jaiswal had applied for NOC in April to move to Goa.

In a stunning move, Yashasvi Jaiswal has applied to the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) to revoke his application for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to switch to Goa, a month after asking to do so. He has also requested the organisation to let him continue with the domestic giants.

When it was announced in April that Jaiswal had requested a NOC from the MCA, stating his desire to relocate to Goa for the upcoming Indian domestic cricket season, he delivered a bombshell. Before being selected for the Indian team and succeeding, Jaiswal made his First-Class (FC) debut for Mumbai and established himself in the domestic squad.

Yashasvi Jaiswal revealed that the leadership role that Goa provided was a key consideration in his decision to go. Jaiswal said he couldn’t turn down the opportunity. The southpaw continued by promising to give Goa his best and help the team win local tournaments.

“Goa has thrown me a new opportunity, and it has offered me a leadership role. My first goal will be to do well for India, and whenever I’m not on national duty, I will be playing for Goa and try to make them go deep into the tournament. This was an (important) opportunity which came my way and I just took it,” Jaiswal added.

Yashasvi Jaiswal makes U-turn; wants to play for Mumbai again

A month after getting a NOC to relocate from Mumbai to Goa, Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal did a U-turn.

The 23-year-old has now revoked his NOC and declared that he is available to play for Mumbai in the forthcoming domestic season in an email to the MCA.

“I the undersigned would request your goodself to consider my request in withdrawing my NOC given to me as I had some family plans in shifting to Goa which for now has been curtailed ! So I sincerely request MCA to allow me to play for Mumbai this season ! I have not submitted the NOC to BCCI nor to Goa Cricket Association,” Jaiswal wrote in email to MCA, assessed by The Indian Express.

The MCA hasn’t made any decision yet.
