Yograj Singh demands Bharat Ratna for Yuvraj Singh, spews venom at MS Dhoni again
Yuvraj Singh’s father Yograj Singh once again makes the headlines for spewing venom at MS Dhoni.
Former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh yet again launched a verbal attack on former Indian captain MS Dhoni while demanding Bharat Ratna for his son Yuvraj Singh, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest white-ball all-rounders to play for India.
Under the leadership of MS Dhoni, Yuvraj was the star performer in India’s World Cup triumphs in 2007 (T20 World Cup) and 2011 (ODI World Cup).
Yuvraj and Dhoni are among the two greatest middle-order batters in white-ball cricket. The duo shared many memorable partnerships together for the Indian side.
Interestingly, Yuvraj and Dhoni were on the crease when the winning runs were scored in the ICC ODI World Cup 2011 final between India Sri Lanka in Mumbai, which ended Men in Blue’s 28-year drought to lift the cricket world cup.
I won’t forgive MS Dhoni: Yograj Singh
In the past, Yograj has always accused former Indian skipper Dhoni of destroying his son Yuvraj’s career and often talked negatively on public platforms.
Recently, in an interview with the Zee Switch YouTube channel, former cricketer Yograj once again accused Dhoni of destroying his son Yuvraj’s career and said he won’t forgive the former Indian captain for that.
“I won’t forgive MS Dhoni. He should look at his face in the mirror. He is a very big cricketer, but what he has done against my son, everything is coming out now; it can never be forgiven in life. I have never done two things in life – first, I have never forgiven anybody who has done wrong for me, and second, I have never hugged them in my life, be it my family members or my kids,” Yograj said while talking to Zee Switch YouTube channel.
Yuvraj should get Bharat Ratna: Yograj Singh
Yograj further added that Yuvraj could have played for four-five years more for the Indian cricket team, but he had to retire because of Dhoni.
The 66-year-old further said that the Indian government should confer Yuvraj with the prestigious Bharat Ratna award for playing with cancer and winning the world cup for the country.
“That man (MS Dhoni) has destroyed the life of my son, who could have played four to five years more. I dare everyone to give birth to a son like Yuvraj. Even Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag have said in the past that there won’t be another Yuvraj Singh. India should award him the Bharat Ratna for playing with cancer and winning the World Cup for the country,” Yograj added.
