Yuvraj Singh-led India Champions defeated Pakistan Champions in the WCL 2024 final.
Legendary all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has named his all-time playing XI. Surprisingly, Yuvraj didn’t include former Indian captain MS Dhoni, who won three ICC white-ball trophies as Indian captain skipper.
Interestingly, the Yuvraj-Dhoni duo won the 2007 World T20I and 2011 ODI World Cup for India. During both of the ICC events, Dhoni was the captain of the Indian cricket team, whereas Yuvraj played a very crucial role in helping his side win both ICC trophies.
Recently, all-rounder Yuvraj led the India Champions in the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2024, where his side defeated arch-rivals Pakistan by five wickets in the finals. Before WCL 2024, the legendary cricketer was also the brand ambassador of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
Yuvraj picks Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in his all-time playing XI
After winning the inaugural edition of the WCL, India Champions skipper Yuvraj named his all-time playing XI, where he picked Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
Yuvraj started with selecting the legendary duo of Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting as top-order batters of his team. He then included veteran Indian cricketers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
In the middle order, Yuvraj picked great South African cricketer AB de Villiers, followed by legendary wicket-keeper batter Adam Gilchrist. Yuvraj then went with two of the finest spinners in world cricket, Shane Warne and Muttiah Muralitharan.
In the pace department, Yuvraj chose Glenn McGrath and Wasim Akram. At last, India Champions skipper Yuvraj included former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff.
When asked to pick a special player in his all-time playing XI, the legendary Indian all-rounder Yuvraj picked himself.
