The Indian Premier League (IPL) is heading towards its next season, with franchises looking to build strong squads and coaching teams. After another new season, teams will aim to improve their performances and compete for the title in IPL 2027.
Indian cricket has also seen several former players take up coaching and mentoring roles in recent years. Their experience at the international level can help young players improve their game and handle pressure in big matches.
Delhi Capitals (DC) are among the teams looking to make changes to their setup after missing the playoffs in IPL 2025 and 2026. The franchise has already appointed Sourav Ganguly as head coach and is now bringing another former India star into their coaching setup.
Delhi Capitals reached their only IPL final in 2020 but are yet to win the tournament. After missing the playoffs in the last two seasons, the franchise will hope that their new coaching setup help the team produce more consistent performances and challenge for their first IPL title.
