Zimbabwe Schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2026, Fixtures, Dates, Venues

Zimbabwe will kickoff their ICC T20 World Cup 2026 campaign against Oman on February 9.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday, November 25, unveiled the complete schedule of ICC T20 World Cup 2026. A total of 20 teams will lock horns in the multi-national tournament, which will be hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The Men in Blue will enter the tournament as the defending champions, having defeated South Africa in the final of the last edition in 2024.

In the 2022 edition of the ICC T20 World Cup, Zimbabwe stunned the entire cricket fraternity by defeating Pakistan, which is still remembered as one of the biggest upsets in the tournament’s history. However, they failed to qualify for the next edition of the tournament in 2024.

However, they won the ICC T20 World Cup Africa Region Qualifiers Final to book a berth in the mega event this time. In the final, they crushed Namibia as both teams sealed a spot in ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Sharing space with big teams like Sri Lanka, Australia, and Ireland in their pool, they will face a tough challenge in the first round.

Zimbabwe will kickoff their ICC T20 World Cup 2026 campaign against Oman on February 9.

All 20 will be divided into four groups of five teams each in the first round. The top two teams from each group will move to the Super Eight stage. Zimbabwe Cricket Team are placed in Group B of ICC T20 World Cup 2026 alongside Sri Lanka, Australia, Ireland, and Oman.

Zimbabwe will play all of their group stage games in Sri Lanka. In their first clash, they will lock horns with Oman on February 9, followed by matches against Australia and Ireland respectively. Their last group stage match will be against the co-hosts, Sri Lanka, on February 19.

• Zimbabwe vs Oman, Colombo, February 9
• Zimbabwe vs Australia, Colombo, February 13
• Zimbabwe vs Ireland, Kandy, February 17
• Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka, Colombo, February 19
