Will Barcelona be a part of EA Sports FC?

The Balaguarna were exclusively tied to Konami in recent years

The next EA Sports football game, which will go under the moniker of EA Sports FC, won't be available until autumn 2023. At the same time, the contract between Barcelona and Konami expiring may be cause for celebration: Could the storied Camp Nou make a triumphant return? We'll demonstrate which stadiums belong in the EAFC and which need to be completely rebuilt.

Many advancements are coming to the next EA Sports FC game. As the game itself hasn't changed much, this is the situation every year.

Although EA won't revolutionise football, the game's creators must come up with fresh modes, improvements, and other incentives to keep us buying it season after season.

When FIFA 23 was released, it already featured seven additional stadiums, compared to FIFA 22's four, and EA added to the list once again with the World Cup Patch. For EA Sports supporters, there is excellent news about FC Barcelona's stadium.

The Catalans' exclusivity agreement with PES/eFootball publisher Konami expires in the summer of 2023. Following that, EA may make a move as the rights to represent FC Barcelona become free again. We are about to experience this summer what Juventus did before to FIFA 23. EA wants to be able to portray the international club Barça as accurately as possible in their game.

Yet according to rumours, it is believed that a collaboration between FC Barcelona and EA has been reached! With EA Sports FC, EA Sports will hold the rights to FC Barcelona, including Camp Nou, face scans, and more. The announcement is rumoured to be made public in July.
