EA Sports FC 24: Everything we know so far and rumours
EA Sports FC 24 is set to release on 29th September
FIFA is arguably the best football game ever across all platforms. Some versions of the game, like FIFA 2014, FIFA Street, and much more, have had fans in awe just because of how good the game is. However, FIFA's long-term licencing agreement with EA has now come to an end. This has resulted in EA developing its own game, which is now known as EA Sports FC.
Nonetheless, despite a change in name, the new game will have over 700 teams, 100 stadiums, and more than 20,000 players. Moreover, there will be over 30 leagues, which include some of the world's biggest leagues such as the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, and many more.
EA Sports FC 2024 Cover
The FIFA games have had covers of iconic and legendary players over the years. Players such as Rooney, Messi, Ronaldo, and many more have donned the FIFA game cover many times. This year, EA Sports has chosen Manchester City star Erling Haaland as the game cover.
After having a captivating run with Manchester City winning the Premier League, UCL, and FA Cup, Haaland has now achieved another record. Every kid dreams of being on the cover of a FIFA game.
Standard Edition and Ultimate Edition
EA Sports FC offers players two editions to buy. The Standard edition and the Ultimate edition
The Ultimate Edition costs a bit more but has additional benefits. This includes seven days of early access, TOTW (Team of the Week) Ultimate Player, and much more. However, the best advantage of buying the Ultimate Edition is that it gives the player 4600 FC points.
A player can use these to pull in some of the best players and build their ultimate team much earlier than others. However, if you are not interested in building your Ultimate Team earlier than others, then the standard edition is the better option.
Leagues and Competitions
Despite the transition from FIFA to EA, the new game has almost everything that it used to have in its earlier versions. EA Sports FC has the licencing rights to numerous leagues and competitions, especially the UEFA Champions League.
EA Sports FC has secured exclusive rights to the major top five leagues in Europe, all major competitions, and other leagues as well. This ensures that no other game can offer the full or true experience that EA Sports FC will.
Women's Football
EA Sports FC has taken the incentive to boost the growth of women's football in the new game. The new Ultimate Team will have both men's and women's players on the same team. This is a new inclusivity feature that has removed the gender division between men and women players in the Ultimate Team.
The previous FIFA games had more involvement of women's players. This includes an alternate career mode where the player can choose a female character. A motion-capture system was implemented in the previous games to improve the animation of female players. Both of the above features will be present in the new game. Furthermore, the motion-capture technology will be enhanced to provide even better animation.
New Features
EA Sports FC 2024 is set to introduce a new feature called Playstyles. Playstyles will assess data from trustworthy sources and incorporate the signature abilities and styles of players in the game.
Hypermotion V is another new feature that will add the signature run styles of more than 180 men's and women's players. This is included so as to ensure more realistic and authentic gameplay.
For the first time ever, crossplay will be introduced across multiple and different platforms for various new modes. PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox X/S users can use the crossplay platform with each other. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users can use the crossplay platform with each other. Crossplay will now include Clubs, Co-op seasons, Volta, and Ultimate Team in the new EA Sports FC game.
AcceleRATE is a feature that was introduced in FIFA 23. Since each player has a different physical attribute, technical ability, pace, and much more, AcceleRATE helps to establish a difference between them. AcceleRATE introduced explosive players and lengthy players.
Explosive players meant players who would have a quick burst of speed to beat defenders. Lengthy players are players who start slowly but cover longer distances on the pitch. EA Sports FC has further explored explosive and lengthy players.
The new game has seven new types. These are lengthy, mostly Lengthy, controlled lengthy, controlled explosive, mostly explosive, and explosive. Not much has been disclosed about this new feature, but it will definitely offer more dynamic and realistic gameplay.
The new career mode is set to include pre-match and half-time tactics scenes. It will also include player-team talks and player interviews. These new features will make the game more immersive and real, just like what we see in real life.
Rumours
The career mode is reportedly going to include Fabrizio Romano. Fabrizio Romano is one of football's leading and most trustworthy sources when it comes to breaking transfer news. He is also one of the first, if not the first, journalists to break transfer news and is almost always right.
Some more rumours regarding the career mode include a more total management approach and match-ready training. Players can now possibly use a more manager-based approach and their own tactical identity in the game. The user can possibly utilise the coaching staff to its full potential.
Match-Ready Training means that players can now use both individual and team training to improve themselves. Specific game-realistic drills and warm-ups for individual players and teams can be done to improve the squad's performance.
There are new rumours about a first-person camera mode being introduced in the career mode. Another rumour is that the new signings are being introduced to the fans and also to the press.
