Predicting the top 10 highest-rated players on EA Sports FC 24

The excitement for the game is building and the users cannot wait for the release of the ratings.

Electronic Arts, one of the biggest video game publishers in the world, through its EA Sports division, gave an insight into their latest game EA Sports FC 24. It is the inaugural instalment in EA Sports FC after EA's conclusion of the FIFA line of games due to contractual differences with FIFA, the governing body for world football.

As it stands, the game is set to launch globally across all major platforms on 29th September 2023. The FIFA line of games by EA Sports were extremely popular worldwide with millions of people playing them every year. The video game publisher released an announcement trailer recently in the build-up to the release of EA FC 24. 

As EA FC 24 comes closer to its release, gamers across the globe cannot wait to find out the ratings for the players in the game. Usually, the biggest footballers in the world receive a rating that coincides with their performance in real life. Judging by the previous season and the performances of key individuals, here is a prediction of the top 10 highest-rated male footballers on EA Sports FC 24 before the official announcement:

Mohamed Salah - 88

Mohamed Salah remains one of Liverpool FC’s most important players. In FIFA 23, the Egyptian star had an overall rating of 89 and might receive a slight downgrade in the upcoming season because of Liverpool’s failure to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. EA Sports has had the tendency to downgrade a player’s ratings in relation to their team’s performance across the season. 

Joshua Kimmich - 88

Joshua Kimmich is one of the best midfielders in the world and will likely receive a rating that justifies his stature. The Bayern Munich skipper should receive an 88 rating or somewhere around the mark, touching the 90s.

Harry Kane - 89

Harry Kane scored 30 goals in the Premier League during the 2022-23 campaign, finishing second only to Erling Haaland. The striker was in red-hot form for the English national football team too. He had an 89 overall rating in FIFA 23 and will likely retain it in EA FC 24. 

Thibaut Courtois - 89

Thibaut Courtois, one of the best goalkeepers in the world, is definitely going to be one of the highest-rated players in EA FC 24. Considering the previous season and rating in FIFA 23, then the Belgian international may receive a rating somewhere around 89.

Ederson - 89

Ederson of Brazil won an elusive treble with Manchester City in the 2022-23 season. This achievement will certainly give him a boost in terms of player overall rating in EA FC 24. One can expect the custodian to be rated around the 89 mark and may even breach the 90s.

Vinicius Jr - 89

Vinicius Jr is Real Madrid’s poster boy and features on the cover of the EA FC 24’s Ultimate Edition as well. The winger is one of the most lethal players at the La Liga outfit and will likely receive an 89 rating in the upcoming game, which would be an improvement of three points.

Lionel Messi - 89

Lionel Messi won the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Argentina which was perhaps his biggest achievement as a footballer. That feat alone will make sure that the legendary footballer and former cover star of FIFA games gets a high rating. As predictions go, he ought to get an 89 rating but EA Sports may just give him a 90+ rating due to fan service.

Kevin De Bruyne - 91

Kevin De Bruyne was a huge reason for Manchester City winning three major trophies during the 2022-23 campaign. The midfielder was rated 91 in FIFA 23 and is likely going to retain it in EA FC 24 as well. Guiding the Cityzens to a treble will be a huge factor in deciding the overall rating points for De Bruyne.

Kylian Mbappe - 91

Kylian Mbappe graced the cover of FIFA 23 and received a 91 rating. His performances for France at the 2022 FIFA World Cup (reached the final) and Paris Saint-Germain at the club level were outstanding. It won’t be surprising to see the Frenchman receive a 91 rating yet again. 

Erling Haaland - 91

Erling Haaland is likely going to be the highest-rated player in EA FC 24. The Manchester City striker won the treble and scored 36 goals in the Premier League alone. He had an 89 rating in FIFA 23 and certainly deserves an improvement. It is possible that Haaland gets a 91 rating as well.
