Ratings: Jerry, Pedro star as Odisha FC beat Kerala Blasters

This was also the Juggernauts' first win at home this season.

Odisha FC proved to be too hot for Kerala Blasters in their first home game at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. In front of strong local support, the Juggernauts brought out their 'A' game to beat Kerala Blasters 2-1 coming from a goal behind. It was a very interesting match which could have been won by either side. Ultimately, it was the Kalinga Warriors who had the last laugh when the final whistle blew.

Amrinder Singh - 8

It was a very good game for Amrinder as he was able to prevent Kerala Blasters' strikers from scoring for the majority of the match. He made two saves and six clearances. He also caught three balls. Moreover, it was from his assist that Odisha FC scored their winning goal.

Shubham Sarangi - 8

Shubham also had a good game today. He had 86 touches in total, the highest for anyone from his side. He made three successful tackles, three successful interceptions, and four clearances. His runs on the right flank were a constant cause of worry for Kerala Blasters. Consequently, he helped in creating one chance.

Osama Malik - 7

Osama provided stability to Odisha FC's deep defence in today's match by making two successful interceptions and two clearances. He proved to be quite effective in keeping Kerala's dangerous attackers under check. Furthermore, he took one free-kick which looked dangerous.

Carlos Delgado - 8

Delgado played his part at the heart of Odisha FC's defence very well. He had 70 touches in total and played 43 completed passes. He made seven clearances and three successful interceptions throughout the game to keep KBFC's attackers at bay. Moreover, he took three shots at Kerala's goal.

Sahil Panwar - 8

Sahil played his part equally well as his comrades in Odisha's defence. He made three tackles and six clearances. Going forward, he took two free kicks, three corners, floated in a cross. His efforts led to the creation of two chances for Odisha FC.

Thoiba Singh - 7.5

It was a good game for Thoiba Singh as he was able to contribute to both attack and defence of his side. He took two shots, one of which was on target. In terms of defence, he made two successful tackles, two successful interceptions, and two clearances. Maybe, in the next match, he should look to contribute to the side's attack a bit more.

Saul Crespo - 7.5

It was a comparatively underwhelming game for Crespo in Odisha FC's attacks. However, he made up for it by aiding his defence to prevent Kerala Blasters from scoring more than once. He made two successful tackles, six clearances, and six successful interceptions. His presence at the midfield was very impactful for Odisha to find their win.

Isaac Vanmalsawma - 7

Isaac had a decent day at the office today. He was able to aid his team both defensively and offensively. He put in two successful tackles and made two successful interceptions. On the offence, he took two free kicks, two corners, and one shot, which was on target.

Jerry Mawihmingthanga - 8.5

Jerry played extremely well throughout the game. He scored Odisha's equaliser. He took two shots and whipped in three quality crosses, most of which looked dangerous. All these efforts of his led to the creation of three chances for his side.

Diego Maurício - 6.5

Mauricio was not able to live up to expectations today. He was on the pitch for around 65 minutes, throughout which he was able to take only two shots. He was not able to get on the ball much and had only 17 touches.

Nandhakumar Sekar - 4.5

Nandhakumar had a terrible day today on the pitch. Despite playing on the left wing, he was not able to take a single shot, float in any or cross, or create any chances for his side. He had only 17 touches in the game and was subbed off in the 65th minute.

Pedro Martín - 8.5

Pedro was on the pitch for only around 25 minutes. These 25 minutes were enough for him to change the course of the game. He scored the winning goal for Odisha FC. Apart from that, he took two shots, both of which were on target. His off-the-ball gameplay also created numerous problems for KBFC.

Prabhsukhan Gill - 7.5

Gill seemed confident in the first half, he made a couple of stunning saves throughout the match. His slight dip in concentration was evident in some instances in the second half but his heroics under the bars stopped Odisha FC from scoring more than two goals. He made a total of six saves in the match.

Harmanjot Khabra - 7

The versatile defender opened the account for Kerala Blasters with a brilliant header in the 35th minute. Apart from being the scorer, he maintained a 65% accurate passing rate. He made 42 touches in the game and delivered 10 passes into the final third. He got subbed out in the 87th minute.

Hormipam Ruivah - 6

Hormipam had an average night at the back for Kerala Blasters. The defender completed three clearances and blocked a couple of shots while winning one ground duel. Hormipam was subbed out in the second half as part of a tactical change by the head coach.

Marko Leskovic - 6

Marko Leskovic played not so well at the heart of Kerala Blasters FC's defence as they lost three points to Odisha FC. His output on the ball was sub-par for his standards. He failed to maintain the defensive line intact in the second half which led to the winner for Odisha FC.

Jessel Carneiro - 6

Jessel was solid off the ball and made some brilliant moves offensively. He was a reliable machine in the flank, allowing Adrian Luna to move into central positions but not so solid defensively.

Sahal Abdul Samad - 6

Sahal had an average game by his standards. He had 20 touches in the game. He made six accurate passes in the game and maintained 54.5% passing accuracy until he got subbed out in the second half.

Jeakson Singh - 6

Had an average performance in the destroyer role. He completed 28 passes with 75.7% accuracy. He lost possession 12 times today.

Adrian Luna - 7.5

Luna put in another masterclass with the ball at his feet. He gave a wonderful assist to Khabra who header-converted it. Luna was one of the most speedy players for Kerala Blasters on the pitch. He played three key passes in the game.

Ivan Kaliuzhnyi - 6.5

Kerala Blasters FC's danger man Ivan Kaliuzhnyi was well-marked by the opposition. He proved to be a threat in several instances and caused headaches for the opposition defense on multiple occasions. The Ukrainian had a shot on target but couldn't convert it. He had 30 touches in the game, in which he made two interceptions and made a clearance. He got subbed out in the second half as part of a tactical change by the head coach.

Dimitris Diamantakos - 6

Performed as a target man today. Everything went well for Dimitris on the pitch except for a goal from his boot. He had a night to forget as he failed to score despite several chances coming his way.
