Will spread Indian Women's League across 30 cities, says AIFF supremo Kalyan Chaubey

The President also spoke about the non-discrimination of honorarium between men and women footballers.
It hasn't been two months since Kalyan Chaubey has taken his oath at the helm of Indian football. In this short span of time, the sport has undergone so many changes that are aimed to bring Indian football to new destination. Recently, in a chat, the AIFF President spoke about the plans that the administration is going to implement soon.
Here is what the President said.
IWL (Indian Women’s League) to be played across 30 cities in India
Newly elected AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey is ambitious to improve the infrastructure of Indian Football in order to encourage more girls to play football in the country. According to him, in recent discussions the core team had been planning about taking the IWL (Indian Women’s League) to a greater scale and spread it across 30 cities in India.
It will help in encouraging the young girls to take part in this tournament and express their talents. AIFF will ensure how the state associations can get benefited from the infrastructural support provided by the central and state governments. There will be plethora of logistic supports including accommodation in the hostels.

“We have also discussed about taking the IWL (Indian Women’s League) to a greater scale and spread it to 30 cities in the country. Yes, I do agree that India’s result in the ongoing U-17 Women’s World Cup haven’t been too good, but the results are temporary. When you play against top teams like US, Morocco, or Brazil, it gives you the kind of experiences that helps take game to the next level, “ Kalyan Chaubey said.
No discriminations in honorarium between men and women footballers
The AIFF president has expressed his thoughts on the discrimination in the honorarium the men and women footballers receive while representing the nation. According to him, there should be no difference in the prize amount given to the men and women footballers.
“In fact, only recently, I proposed that there should be no discrimination in the honorarium the men and women footballers receive when they represent the nation,” he said in the interview.
