Correa and Almada were bid farewell by hundreds of admirers at the airport in a social media sensational video.
The two were called up on Thursday to fill in for injured attackers Nicolas Gonzalez and Joaquin Correa, who were unable to compete in the World Cup.
27-year-old Angel Correa has four goals this season in 21 games for Atletico Madrid. He was part of the Argentina team that won the Copa America in 2021.
Almada, 21, recently finished his first season with Atlanta United in Major League Soccer. In 29 games, he scored six goals and tallied 12 assists, winning the league's newcomer of the year award.
Argentina's final World Cup warm-up saw Lionel Messi play the full match and score in a 5-0 thrashing of the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, extending the pre-tournament favourites' unbeaten streak to 36 games.
