The victory helped the Nizams in retaining their table-topper status.
Hyderabad FC triumphed 1-0 over Odisha FC at the G. M. C. Balayogi Athletic Stadium on Saturday evening courtesy an early first-half goal by Mohammad Yasir. The Nizams managed to keep the Odisha attackers at bay for the rest of the match as Manolo Marquez’s men further cemented their spot at the top of the table. Odisha are now placed third in the standings as this was their second loss of the season following an earlier defeat against Mumbai City.
Here are the player ratings for both the teams in this match.
Hyderabad FC (By Praketh Reddy)
Laxmikant Kattimani - 7.5
Kattimani was quick on his feet and confident in goal as usual. He also had good ball distribution and made a couple of saves. Overall, he had a comfortable game in goal and never looked like conceding.
Nikhil Poojary - 7.5
Poojary had another solid outing and created a chance for Hyderabad FC. He also had a 70% pass accuracy and made sure Jerry and co had their work cut out.
Chinglensena Singh - 7.5
The centre-back had another good game and was a vital cog in the team keeping a clean sheet. With 53 touches of the ball, he was omnipresent in the defence.
Odei OnaIndia - 8
The pick of the defenders for Hyderabad, with a pass accuracy of 70% and with four tackles, five clearances, two interceptions, the 32-year-old enjoyed a solid outing and helped the team secure their fourth clean sheet in a row.
Akash Mishra - 7
The left-back continued his good run of form for the Nizams and fulfilled his defensive duties efficiently. He didn't attack a lot in this game.
Joao Victor - 7
The captain had a solid outing and as a central midfielder, made sure he did his duties properly. He made four tackles and two successful interceptions.
Hitesh Sharma - 7
He played the perfect companion in a two-man central midfield to Joao, and made sure he limited the opponents' chances to a minimal.
Mohammad Yasir - 8
Yasir had a great game and was the scorer of the only goal with a great header and put in the shift for the team. He was heavily involved in the game from the right wing and was also good defensively.
Borja Herrera - 6.5
The midfielder had a below par game with a 65% pass accuracy and could not fill in the boots of Ogbeche in the attacking midfielder role. Borja went close to scoring the second with a long-range effort but otherwise could not influence the game much.
Halicharan Narzary - 7.5
Nazary was instrumental in the first goal with a dazzling run and a perfect cross to Yasir who headed the goal in. However, he missed a great chance to make it 2-0 by blazing a potential chance over the bar.
Javier Siverio - 6.5
The Spanish striker had a poor game and was substituted early in the second half. He failed to have a lot of influence in the game and could only create one chance.
Substitutes
Joel Chianese - 6.5
Chianese came on for Borja Herrera in the last 20 minutes and had an immediate impact by creating a few chances and getting on the ball.
Bartholomew Ogbeche: 6.5

Odisha FC (By Tarkesh Jha)
Amrinder Singh – 5
The custodian made one save but faced only two shots on goal overall. The Hyderabad FC forwards didn’t test Odisha FC much barring the goal they scored.
Denechandra Meitei – 6
Meitei made four tackles, five clearances and three interceptions in addition to creating three chances and one goal-scoring opportunity to round up an overall convincing performance from the back.
Carlos Delgado – 5
Delgado made four clearances along with one interception. He built up play well from the back and enjoyed an 88% passing accuracy.
Sahil Panwar – 5.5
Panwar made three successful tackles and interceptions as he put in an industrious outing at the back. He also delivered four crosses. However, his passing was a bit erratic with a 56% accuracy.
Osama Malik – 6

Raynier Fernandes – N/A
Raynier had to be pulled out of the field after only 19 minutes due to an injury.
Saul Crespo – 6.5

Thoiba Singh – 5
Thoiba failed to have any definite impact in the proceedings as he neither had any sustainable presence on the ball nor did he manage to have any influence as Odisha pushed on for an equalizer.
Jerry Mawihmingthanga – 5
Jerry took a shot that was blocked off and also created a goal-scoring opportunity. The winger tackled once and intercepted twice but delivered an insipid performance altogether.
Nandhakumar Sekar – 6
The winger put in five crosses as he looked to create something that could claw Odisha FC back in the game. He also put in a good shift defensively and maintained a 76% passing accuracy, which is impressive considering most of his passes came in the final-third.
Diego Mauricio – 4
Mauricio was taken off at half-time since he didn’t really have much of an impact as the sole striker in the first-half. He was also caught offside twice and completed only five passes during his time on the field.
