Morocco announces 26-men squad for FIFA World Cup 2022
They made their debut in the tournament in 1970
Morocco is considered the best Arab team playing in the Qatar World Cup. It has 20 professional players from major European leagues. The Moroccan team has the best set of players, and the opportunity is in their hands to be the dark horse of the tournament. This will be Morocco's sixth appearance at the World Cup.
They made their debut in 1970 and suffered a group stage exit, as they did in 1994, 1998 and 2018. It's fair to say that will not be an easy task as they have been drawn in Group F alongside Belgium, Canada, and Croatia, meaning they face two of the semi-finalists from 2018. Head coach Walid Regragui will be optimistic about his side's chances, though, as he can count on some world-class talent.
