Goalkeepers are not only there to save the shots and keep clean sheets but are also being played as the eleventh player thanks to the sweeper-keeper tactics.

Andries Noppert (2 clean sheets)
The Dutch goalkeeper managed two clean sheets in three group-stage matches. He kept one against Senegal and one against the host nation Qatar. Noppert made 18 saves in the tournament. However, his and Netherlands' campaign was halted in the quarter-finals by Argentina, who beat the Dutch 4-3 on penalties. Noppert only managed to keep a clean sheets in the group stages.
Alisson Becker (2 clean sheets)
Brazil were in great form which was expected from the side even before the World Cup started. They advanced to the knockouts, keeping clean sheets in two of their three group-stage games. Alisson Becker guarded the goal in both games with support coming from Brazil’s defence.
The Liverpool goalkeeper faced zero shots on target in both matches, against Serbia and Switzerland. However, they lost their final group game to Cameroon. Alisson though was rested in that game. Brazil thrashed South Korea in the round of 16 before being eliminated by Croatia in the quarter-finals via a penalty shootout.
Wojciech Szczęsny (2 clean sheets)
The Polish international has been termed underrated by fans recently after his performance in the match against Saudi Arabia. The Juventus goalkeeper managed two clean sheets, one against Mexico and the other against Saudi Arabia. He registered 21 saves for the Polish side.
Poland were knocked out of the tournament by France in the Round of 16 stage in a 1-3 defeat.
Jordan Pickford (3 clean sheets)
England ended their World Cup campaign in the quarter-finals. Pickford managed to keep clean sheets against USA, Wales and Senegal during the tournament. After beating Wales in their last group-stage match, he kept a clean sheet in the round of 16 against Senegal. The Three Lions crashed out of the tournament with a 1-2 defeat to France in the quarter-finals.
Yassine Bounou (3 clean sheets)
Morocco goalkeeper Yassine Bounou leads the chart for joint-most clean sheets in the FIFA World Cup 2022. The Sevilla goalkeeper has so far kept three clean sheets in four matches in his side's historic run to the World Cup semi-finals. Morocco are the first African nation to qualify for a World Cup semi-final. They beat Spain and Portugal in the two knockout matches, keeping a clean-sheet in both, to script history.
He has kept clean sheets against Croatia, Spain and Portugal so far. The latter two are in the knockout stages of the tournament. Furthermore, Morocco also kept a clean-sheet against Belgium in a 1-2 win, Bounou, however, missed the clash due to illness.
