Mumbai City FC forward and fellow Argentina footballer Jorge Pereyra Diaz has joined the celebrations of his countrymen's FIFA World Cup 2022 title win. Reveling in the success, Diaz took to Instagram and shared his happiness on watching Argentina lift the FIFA World Cup title after a wait of 36 years. "You live, you feel, you suffer and most importantly you enjoy it," said the 32-year-old attacker in his post.

Argentina beat France via penalties in the final to lift their third World Cup title and first since 1986. With their title win, Lionel Messi's side became only the second team to win the World Cup after losing their first match. Argentina and its supporters were left in shock when Saudi Arabia beat them in their group opener with a stunning comeback win.

But La Albiceleste bounced back to win their remaining two group stage matches and top the group. Lionel Scaloni's boys then overcame Australia, Netherlands, Croatia and France to lift the World Cup.

Jorge Pereyra Diaz shared a post on social media where he can be seen cheering Argentina in the World Cup final with his family. As Argentina beat France to clinch the title, Diaz's family also joined in the celebrations. "Argentina world champion! Being able to see it with my family was something unique!" said a delighted Diaz in his post.

In the Indian Super League, Jorge Pereyra Diaz has been in sensational form with Mumbai City FC. He has already scored six goals and has assisted twice in 10 matches. Mumbai City FC are currently on top of the ISL 2022-23 points table with 24 points at the halfway mark. They are also the only unbeaten team in the league.
