The NorthEast United head coach shed light on his philosophy as well.
After a solid win against ATK Mohun Bagan in their last game, a resurgent NorthEast United flew to Hyderabad with a hope to continue their magic. But, the home side had other plans as they took a toll on the Highlanders. Vincenzo Alberto Annese's side were torn to shreds by the defending champions as the full-time score read 6-1.
The Nizams scored three goals within the first 30 minutes before NorthEast United pulled one back in the 36th. There was hope, but a second goal didn’t come for the Highlanders. Meanwhile, the Nizams ran riot and scored three more in the second half to add to NEUFC's misery.
After the game, NorthEast United tactician Vincenzo Alberto Annese addressed the media and here’s what he had to say:
Thoughts on the game
He began by sharing his thoughts on the game. He said that his team didn’t perform well and Hyderabad FC were very good.
“We performed bad, we were a bit tired. We need to comeback. And we knew that Hyderabad were so good in set pieces and we need to be aware about this. We need to improve more as always,” he asserted.

Time ahead of the next game
NorthEast United played their last match on Saturday. Vincenzo mentioned that the players were tired. When asked if he will have enough time with the team ahead of the next game, he said, “For sure we have time. We need to focus on ourselves and our mistakes and improve."
'Never say die' attitude
The Highlanders kept on fighting until the last minute and were fighting for everything. They kept on pushing despite conceding so many goals. Vincenzo Alberto Annese said that his team fights for every ball because it is a part of his philosophy.
“We fight for each ball and try to create something to score all the time. All my career this has been my belief and the guys try to stick to it,” he signed off.
