Top 10 fastest footballers in FIFA World Cup 2022
Alphonso Davies, Achraf Hakimi and Kylian Mbappe are familiar names in this list.
The FIFA World Cup 2022 is currently underway. Despite what was expected to be unfavorable conditions in the heat of Qatar, some of the fastest footballers in the world have clocked incredible speeds.
Good football players don't necessarily have to be fast runners. Usain Bolt's attempt to turn professional would have been a phenomenon if this were the case.
However, it's impossible to argue against the fact that speed is irresistible to the human eye. Watching a player break past defences with a sprint or a player race back to thwart a counterattack is usually a thrilling sight.
Players like Kylian Mbappé, Achraf Hakimi, and Alphonso Davies, who are noted for their impromptu and unpredictable play, have provided plenty of examples throughout the 2022 World Cup. To what extent, though, have they been able to accelerate their pace? Is their speed even in the top 10 of the tournament's best? Is the throne of the fastest person contested by anyone else?
