The nations now meet in the Round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup 2022
The battle is on for the Quarter finals spots and teams are giving their all for it. Teams like Argentina, Netherlands, France and England have managed to advance to the next round of the FIFA World Cup 2022. The remaining spots are to be battled between Brazil, Portugal, Switzerland, Spain, Japan, Croatia, South Korea and Morocco.
For a place in the Quarters there is going to be a competition between two European Footballing houses. Both the European sides are getting ready to face each other in the Round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Portugal has topped Group H and Switzerland came second in the Group G.
They both faced each other in the World Cup 1938 Qualifiers, where Switzerland defeated Portugal with a score line of 2-1. They have never faced each other in any World Cup final before. Portugal side is looking good and filled with confidence. Although they lost their last group match against South Korea, but they still topped the group. Switzerland came second and will be a tough side to face.
The match will take place on 7th December in Lusail Stadium at 12:30 a.m. IST
