Bengaluru FC got their first consecutive win of the season after waiting for 14 games.

Bengaluru FC showcased a spirited performance at home against Odisha FC to get their first consecutive win of the ISL 2022-23 season. Three different scorers were on the scoresheet for Bengaluru, while Odisha scored once through a penalty converted by Diego Mauricio.

Even though Odisha dug deep to get their equaliser, Bengaluru defenders played well to keep Odisha's attackers at bay. This win will help Bengaluru inch closer to the sixth place.

In light of these, let us take a look at how the players of both teams fared in the game.

Bengaluru FC

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu - 8.0

Gurpreet played well in the game. Needed to make only one save throughout. Could not be blamed much for conceding from the penalty.

Alan Costa - 7.5

Alan played well to keep Nandhakumar Sekar quiet in the game. Made two tackles and 11 clearances throughout, to prevent Odisha from scoring from open play.

Sandesh Jhingan - 8.0

Jhingan was brilliant in the encounter. He did not put a foot wrong in the game, especially when playing against an in-form Diego Mauricio. Made seven clearances.

Parag Shrivas - 6.5

Parag too had a good game. Still, he should have done better while dealing with the ball through which Odisha earned their penalty.

Prabir Das - 7.0

Prabir Das was fascinating throughout. He made several defensive contributions to keep Odisha’s attackers quiet. Also glanced a shot.

Suresh Singh Wangjam - 6.5

Took two shots and made several contributions. Got a fair number of touches in the midfield to aid his team’s win.

Javi Hernández - 8.0

Javi had a very good game. It was from his cross that Bengaluru FC scored their first goal. Took two shots and created two chances throughout.

Rohit Kumar - 8.0

Rohit was one of the best players on the pitch tonight. Scored a goal, registered two shots, and made two successful interceptions.

Naorem Roshan Singh - 7.5

Took a shot and whipped in two crosses. Had 43 touches in total. Defensively, he made three successful tackles and five successful interceptions.

Roy Krishna - 8.0

Scored the second goal for Bengaluru with a composed finish. Got only one chance to take a shot and scored from it.

Sivasakthi Narayanan - 6.5

Assisted the second goal for his side through a brilliant pass. Was not much effective other than that, but his presence was a threat to Odisha’s defence.

Substitutes

Sunil Chhetri - 6.0

Chhetri came on the pitch in the 73rd minute. Looked a bit rusty but tried his best to help his team see off the game.

Udanta Singh - 6.5

Assisted the third goal for Bengaluru FC. Was not able to contribute in any other significant way.

Pablo Perez - 8.0

Pablo was on the pitch for only around five minutes. Took three shots in total, among which one was a goal and another hit the woodwork.

Danish Farooq - N/A

Jayesh Rane - N/A

Odisha FC

Amrinder Singh - 6.0

Amrinder would like to forget tonight’s game. Out of five shots that he faced on goal, he was able to save only two. Still, could not blame him much for the goals scored by Bengaluru.

Narender Gahlot - 7.5

Looked good in defence, but unfortunately did not find support from his partners. Had 78 touches and made 33 passes. Made one tackle, four clearances, and four successful interceptions.

Osama Malik - 5.5

Osama played in the first half and tried his best to prevent Bengaluru from scoring. But unfortunately, he was outdone by Bengaluru’s attackers.

Carlos Delgado - 4.5

Looked a bit shaky in defence. Should have done better in almost all the instances of Bengaluru’s goals.

Denechandra Meitei - 7.0

Could not repeat his performance from last match. Made only one clearance throughout. Was not able to aid his team's attack much. Was subbed off at half time.

Raynier Fernandes - 7.0

One of the best players for Odisha. Created two chances and made a clearance. Surprisingly, was subbed off in the 76th minute.

Saul Crespo - 8.5

Tried his best to dominate the midfield, especially in the second half. Had the highest number of touches and passes for his side. Took two shots and put in two crosses. Aided his defence by making two tackles, three clearances, and three interceptions.

Thoiba Singh - 5.0

Had a lacklustre outing. Apart from creating one chance, he was not much effective in the game.

Jerry Mawihmingthanga - 4.0

Had a very poor game. Was not in sync with the rest of the team as many of his crosses went wayward without threatening anyone.

Diego Mauricio - 5.5

Did not get much support from his team. Converted the penalty for Odisha FC, but was largely invisible throughout the game.

Nandhakumar Sekar - 4.5

Did not look good in the final third. Many of his crosses were out of control. Was not able to penetrate Bengaluru FC’s defence in his usual manner.

Substitutes

Sahil Panwar - 6.0

Played in the second half. Did his best to prevent Bengaluru from scoring many, but was not able to aid the side’s attack.

Victor Rodriguez - 5.0

Played for 24 minutes and was able to create only a solitary chance. No other significant contribution from the midfielder.

Pedro Martin - 4.5

Looked rusty. Was not able to showcase good feet. Got a head injury but continued his team’s pursuit for an equaliser.

Isaac Vanmalsawma - 4.5

Played for 14 minutes but did not look much sharp. Was not able to contribute in building his side’s attacks.
