Aaren D'Silva scored in injury time to seal the deal for the Nizams.
Hyderabad FC defeated East Bengal FC 2-0 at the Salt Lake Stadium on Friday courtesy of goals by Javier Siverio and substitute Aaren D’Silva. The Nizams were in total control of the proceedings right from the offset, setting the tone of the game through Siverio’s strike in the ninth minute. They later sealed their fate with D’Silva’s late goal and added another three points to their tally as Manolo Marquez’s men try desperately to inch closer to Mumbai City FC at the top of the ISL table. Here are the player ratings for both teams from this match.
East Bengal (By Souvari Paul)
Kamaljit Singh - 7.5
Kamaljit’s return to the starting XI turned out to be very good. He looked sturdy under East Bengal’s goal, made a few good saves, caught the ball well, and did his best to prevent Hyderabad from scoring many.
Mohamad Rakip - 6.5
Rakip’s return to the starting XI was decent as he played quite well in defence. However, he was not much effective in aiding the attack and was subbed off at halftime.
Lalchungnunga - 7.5
Looked good at the heart of East Bengal’s defence. Made a few good tackles to keep Ogbeche silent, but could have done better in the instant of Hyderabad FC’s goal.
Charalombous Kyriakou - 7.0
Similar to Lalchungnunga, looked good in central defence. Was able to keep Hyderabad’s attackers silent for the most part. East Bengal's defender could have done better in the case of Hyderabad’s goal.
Sarthak Golui - 6.5
Had a decent game. Had the highest number of touches for his side. Aided the attack well. Made a few good touches to break many of Hyderabad’s attacks. Should have done better in the case of Hyderabad’s second goal.

Did his best in the midfield. Created a half chance. Missed a very good chance in the second half. Was subbed off in the 68th minute due to fitness issues.
Mobashir Rahman - 5.5
Did not look much effective in midfield. Took a shot and a couple of free kicks and corners, none of which were effective whatsoever.
VP Suhair - 5.0
Looked slow and has issues with fitness. Was not much effective in aiding East Bengal’s attacks. No meaningful contribution whatsoever.
Jordan O’Doherty - 6.5
Tried his best to stitch passes but could not create many meaningful chances because of a lack of support from other players. Contributed a bit in defence.
Naorem Mahesh Singh - 6.0
Had a decent game. Made a few good passes and one cross. Created a half chance. Lacked clinicality.
Cleiton Silva - 6.5
Inarguably the most lively player for East Bengal. Looked threatening whenever the opportunity arose. Took four shots. Missed a good chance in the second half.
