Rajasthan United youngster Gyamar Nikum has signed a five-year deal with Mumbai City, Khel Now can confirm. "Gyamar Nikum has signed a five-year deal with Mumbai City. He will be joining in the January window itself. The deal will see the player get a chance to play abroad under the other clubs of City Football Group. It involves a transfer fee of around 75 Lakhs (approximate amount)," said a source close to the development.

Gyamar Nikum has been a wonderkid at Rajasthan United this season. His heroics in the Durand Cup 2022 saw him score goals against ISL heavyweights Mumbai City and ATK Mohun Bagan. Notably, he scored the winner against ATK Mohun Bagan.

Mumbai City's performance in the ISL 2022-23

Mumbai City are currently having a dream run. They have the longest winning streak under their belt, with 10. They are also the only undefeated team in the entire Indian Super League. With regards to their on-field heroics, it might be assumed that they are a tough opponent to beat. In their recent encounter, they thrashed NorthEast United 4-0 at the Mumbai Football Arena. Des Buckingham has been doing a good job at the helm, with his team gelling fine.

However, for Gyamar Nikum, it will be tough to break into the starting line-up. He will have to compete against the likes of Lallianzuala Chhangte and Vikram Partap Singh in the training to make a mark for himself.
