NorthEast United in ISL 2022-23
NorthEast United are one of the most struggling teams in ISL 2022-23, with just four points from 14 matches. They are going through a tough phase and the worst-ever in their history. The poor performance in the league also forced the management to sack their former tactician Marco Balbul from his position.
Things started looking bright after the appointment of head coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese. They achieved their first-ever win this season against ATK Mohun Bagan in December. The recent 2-2 draw against FC Goa is a positive from a team which is trying to finish the season on a good note. The northeastern club has recently brought in Alex Saji on a loan deal from Hyderabad FC, as revealed by Khel Now earlier. Jon Gaztanaga has also left the club after the FC Goa game.
