Both sides have a long history of rivalry and are accomplished Premier League clubs. In Europe, Chelsea boasts two Champions League titles to City's zero. Although their meetings are frequently entertaining, with two of Europe's top managers, Pep Guardiola and Graham Potter pitting their wits against one other. Guardiola has rebuilt City into a powerful club led by talented players.

While Chelsea appeared to be having an erratic season, their abrupt dismissal of managers doesn't offer a clear indication of how the team is progressing. And despite Tuchle guiding the Blues to Champions League success, he was ousted following a string of dismal losses.
