FA Cup 2022-23: Manchester United vs Everton: Predicted lineup, injury news, head-to-head
The Cup competition is back after the end of the FIFA World Cup 2022
Manchester United are going through a rich vein of form at the moment. They have won all matches so far after the World Cup break and look unstoppable. From their attack to defense, they look complete but they will now face a fresh challenge from Everton in the round third clash of the FA Cup. Although Everton isn't going through the best of forms, their team has some dangerous players.
Given the form of Marcus Rashford in the attack, Manchester United does appear to be favorites, but a single lapse can derail United's good run. The future of Frank Lampard in Merseyside hangs in the balance after failing to win a match after the break, and particularly after losing to Brighton this week.
Team News
Erik Ten Hag made many changes to United's last game and this game could also see some major changes in the line-up. After missing the last game, Raphael Varane is likely to return to the starting eleven.
Donny Van de Beek will be missing the match after picking up a knock in the last game while Jadon Sancho, and Axel Tuanzebe are also ruled out of the match.
Everton have some positive news as Amadou Onana has returned to the squad, but James Garner, Michael Keane, Andros Townsend, and Nathan Patterson are still out.
Player to Watch
Marcus Rashford
With Erik Ten Hag, Marcus Rashford has found a new life, and especially since the World Cup, he's been in magnificent form. Rashford has scored in all four of his last four matches and looks unstoppable. In ten Hag's success, Rashford is a key player and his role in the knockout game is critical. Rashford will have a greater responsibility to take care of the wings, especially since Antony is uncertain to start.
Demarai Gray
Like Marcus Rashford, Demarari Gray is also experiencing a purple patch after the World Cup break. Gray scored against Manchester City last week and scored again against Brighton. Despite Everton's struggles in recent matches, Gray is the only positive for Lampard. If he finds space, he can tumble United defenders on counterattacks.
Head-to-head
As expected Manchester United leads the overall head-to-head chart by a big margin. But in the last 10 matches, their battles have been balanced.

Predicted Lineup
Manchester United predicted lineup:

Match Prediction
Manchester United are the clear favourite for this game. They have all tools and tricks in their armory and on top of that, they have in-form players like Rashford, Eriksen, and De Gea. Everton can also tumble over United but given the injuries in their camp and recent form, they are unlikely to give any damage to United.
Prediction: Manchester United 2-0 Everton
