The English manager has been sacked by The Toffees

The Toffees are on the brink of relegation and are suffering from financial issues as well. Everton finished 16th last season in the Premier League table with only 39 points. Frank Lampard has managed Chelsea first in the Premier League and then Everton. The Chelsea legend did well in his first stint at Chelsea. However, at Everton, many problems from Lampard's perspective and insufficient backing from the board led to his sacking.

Let's take a look at the top five managers to replace Frank Lampard at Everton :

5. Thomas Frank

Replacing a Frank with another Frank seems like a topmost priority for Everton. Thomas Frank is achieving wonders with Brentford in the Premier League. The Bees are currently 8th in the table above both Liverpool and Chelsea. They also have an extra game in hand.  Everton are eyeing Thomas Frank to help them out of this tough spot. Unfortunately it's a difficult deal as Frank just signed a contract extension in December 2022. The likes of Jurgen Klopp have praised him as well for his tactics.

4. Sam Allardyce

Allardyce is one of the most experienced managers in football. After helping Crystal Palace avoid relegation in 2017 , Sam joined Everton from 2017 to 2018. Under Sam Allardyce, the Toffees finished eighth in the Premier League table. Allardyce is widely known for bringing out and developing the best out of players. His initial stint with Everton ended on a bitter note after they sacked him in just six months. There are also some rumours which state that Sam Allardyce is unwilling to join because of "outside influences".

3. Sean Dyche

The definition of Mr Loyalty and sticking to one club. Sean Dyche has lost his job at Burnley after 10 years. However many fans do think that their old manager would have led the helm for more time. Considering Sean Dyche as a short term replacement, he can help Everton get back up from the relegation zone. Unfortunately in the long run ,Dyche is not a reliable option because he is used to only helping his team get back up from the bottom. The only time Burnley finished in a decent position was when they finished seventh.

2. Marcelo Bielsa

The former Leeds manager achieved promotion to the Premier League in the 2020-21 season. They achieved wonders in their comeback season to the PL finishing 9th. Marcelo Bielsa is known for his aggresiveness and passion. It is unknown whether Everton's current squad will suit to Bielsa's needs. But Bielsa has done it before and helped Leeds United achieve promotion to the Premier League. After Leeds sacked him last February, Marcelo Bielsa has not taken any managerial role.

1. Wayne Rooney

The Manchester United legend is looking to make a mark in his managerial career. Everton are looking to sign him as a replacement for Frank Lampard. However this is not the first time this is happening. Rooney has already revealed that he has already turned down a chance to join Everton in January 2022. His contract with his current MLS club will expire at the end of the season.
