The FIFA Club World Cup is an annual football competition, that stages the most successful clubs from around the globe in the preceding year. The competition was first played in the year 2000 when Corinthians defeated Vasco Da Gama in the finals, to claim the first-ever FIFA Club World Cup. Following this, the competition was not held for the forthcoming three years, due to a variety of reasons.
