The Red Devils and The Magpies will meet in the Carabao Cup.

Manchester United and Newcastle United will play the final of the Carabao Cup at Wembley on Sunday. Both of the teams have not had a major trophy for a long time and as both teams have been in form they are hungry for a title boost.

Under Erik Ten Hag United have resurged dreadful runs in the Premier League and as well in Europe. They have recently beaten FC Barcelona in the UEFA Europa League playoffs to seal their berth in the Round of 16. Manchester United will now face Real Betis on 10th March.

While Newcastle has been in fine form this season in the Premier League currently sitting fifth with 41 points. If their run continues they could be well within a Champions League place next season. And, this trophy boost could build the team for tough competition next season.

Though both teams would like to end their trophy drought. Let's find out when both clubs won their last major trophy.

The Manchester club won the UEFA Europa League in 2017 under Jose Mourinho when they defeated Ajax at the Friends Arena in Stockholm. Paul Pogba opened the scoring in the first half and Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored the second in the opening minutes of the second half.
