ATK Mohun Bagan vs Bengaluru FC: Head to Head

The Indian Super League has reached its culmination period, as two heavyweights of the country are set to lock horns at the Fatorda on Saturday, March 18th to be crowned as the champions of the Indian Super League.
A win on Saturday can give ATK Mohun Bagan their first ISL trophy, after the formation of the joint entity in 2019. Whereas for Bengaluru, it will be their second time winning the ISL title.
Both the teams have had to dig deep and find their own philosophies throughout the season, and have had to work really hard to reach this far into the competition. Bengaluru made an incredible turnaround at the onset of the new year, and won every league game ever since, whereas ATKMB have been impressive for the majority of the season.
Old Rivalry between Mohun Bagan and Bengaluru
Although these two teams have met each other only seven times so far, their rivalry goes way beyond, before Mohun Bagan and ATK’s merger. Mohun Bagan FC and Bengaluru FC had a very intense and heated rivalry in the I-league. The two clubs were always very closely knit on the points table, and there were occasions when only a point or two separated them at first and second position.
Mohun Bagan and Bengaluru played a total of 10 games against each other before Bengaluru made their move into the Indian Super League. Out of these 10 games, the former won five games, and the latter won two. Three games ended in a draw.
