Who is Antonio Nusa – Club Brugge talented teenager?
By Rajarshi Shukla
The youngster has caught the eye in the Champions League this term
Antonio Nusa began his career in Langhus, Illinois, and at the age of 13 he transferred to the Stabaek juvenile division. Early in 2021, he was offered the option to play for the senior team. He scored in a friendly game, and then he agreed to join the senior team. In June 2021, he scored his first goal against Bod/Glimt after making his Eliteserien debut in May 2021 against Rosenborg.
He signed with Club Brugge on transfer day in the summer of 2021. He made his Champions League debut on September 13, 2022, in a 4-0 away victory over FC Porto. In addition, he made competition history by scoring on his first game.
Already making an impression in Belgium
The Stabaek left winger took up the ball close to the touchline on June 27, 2021, during a match against eventual champions Bodo/Glimt. He entered the box after two touches and a surge of momentum. Chaos followed. With a slight backlift and a drop of the shoulder, he shifted the ball away from the opponent and slammed a dipping, curving shot into the top corner.
The Norwegian football team is doing well. Erling Haaland will serve as its goal-scoring spokesperson for the ensuing 15 years. Martin Odegaard, a playmaking midfielder, is another member of the team.
The element of chaos—a player who can deliver a moment of brilliance that changes the course of the game or dribble the length of the pitch to open up a chance—is now absent from their attack of the future.

The thought of joining Haaland and Odegaard on the Norwegian national team may be one or two years away, but considering how the 17-year-old has started his professional career, he is doubtful to be intimidated by it.
He is now the second-youngest goal scorer in Norwegian top-flight heritage, just behind Odegaard, and the youngest goal scorer in Club Brugge history. If he realises his full potential, his name may one day be mentioned with the greats of the game.
Supporters of Stabaek must now, regrettably, watch Nusa’s career from a distance when the decision was made in August 2021 to sell the young player to Club Brugge for €3 million (£2.6 million/$3.5 million).
The decision has already paid off for Nusa, who scored a remarkable goal in only his second senior game in Belgium after spending the bulk of the season playing for the junior club, Club NXT.

Playing style of Antonio Nusa
With his dribbling prowess, Antonio Nusa likes to stir up trouble. The youthful winger also has exceptional awareness and range of passing. Since signing Club Brugge in the summer of 2021, the 17-year-old has actually averaged just over 31 passes per game with an 80% passing success rate. His best position on the pitch is left wing.
