India All Stars to take on Kerala All Stars in a charity match

The game is set to be played on the 6th of May.

India All Stars will play against Kerala All Stars in a friendly fundraiser event on the 6th of May. The two teams will take to the field to spread awareness regarding the excessive drug use in Kerala, and will seek to raise funds for the same. 

The date for this charity match has been set on the 6th of May, with kick off time set to be announced in the next few days.

Captains of the two teams

It has been learnt that Mehtab Hossain will be the captain of the Indian All Stars team for this game, whereas Anas Edathodika will put on the captain’s armband for the Kerala All Stars. 

Other than this, there hasn’t been any further announcement regarding the squad.

The game between India All Stars and Kerala All Stars will be played at the Payyanad Stadium in Manjeri, Kerala.

The easy availability of drugs, particularly synthetic substances like MDMA and other designer drugs, has worsened the situation. Drug trafficking has also been a concern, with the state's proximity to major drug-producing countries like Afghanistan and Myanmar making it a transit point for drug smugglers. 

By fielding a number of big-time players, Indian football is playing its part in trying to spread awareness against this social evil, and is once again proving that football is much more than just a game.
