Under Todd Boehly many players have signed long contract
According to rumours, some Chelsea players regret accepting long-term contracts with the Premier League giants.
The players in the starting lineup are worried about the club's future provided Chelsea have dropped five straight contests, including the Champions League after falling to LaLiga powerhouse Real Madrid in the quarterfinals.
In addition to worries over the club's future, several team players are worried about their prospects of making the first team next season because of Chelsea's overcrowded roster.
A big squad of over 30 players, including numerous players worth millions of dollars, are entirely shut out on match days thanks to Chelsea's January hiring spree.
In addition, the team may not play in Europe at all the next season due to their subpar Premier League results. As a result, the first XI will offer even fewer opportunities to the new newcomers.
According to a source close to the starting lineup, during contract talks, some players were informed that they would be "key" to the "exciting new Chelsea project." They haven't played much for the Blues this year, though.
It will be more difficult for them to quit the club due to the length of their contracts. This is alleged to have upset a number of players and created a negative environment among the Chelsea team.
The fact that Chelsea's shareholders Boehly and Clearlake Capital conducted a bonus system to player contracts related to Champions League qualification, which would have seen their salaries shift according to whether or not they participated in the tournament, has caused another problem within the club's team as a result of Chelsea's inability to qualify for the competition.

It was a significant departure from Roman Abramovich's ownership era when players were only given rewards for winning trophies.
According to Mail Sport, the club's latest additions, or those who have signed new contracts, would see their incomes reduced by at least 30%. That percentage may be as high as 50%, according to sources.
The decision to impose an incentive-based wage system was made to encourage players, but it also offers Chelsea some financial security in the event that they miss out on the very lucrative Champions League.
Since the Boehly-Clearlake acquisition, Chelsea has added 12 senior players to permanent contracts, while seven players who are part of the current roster have signed new contracts since Abramovich left.
consequently will be challenging for Chelsea's new manager to win over an array of players who have become more unhappy with the club in recent weeks about where the team is headed under the leadership of Boehly and Clearlake.
