Who are England's top scorers at Wembley?
The Three Lions have comprised of iconic goal-scorers over the years.
After scoring a penalty against France in the World Cup 2022 quarterfinal, Harry Kane joined Wayne Rooney as England's joint top scorer. After his goals during the most recent international break, Kane not England's all-time men's top scorer and is one goal closer to establishing yet another record.
He is just two goals away from owning the Wembley scoring record all to himself.
Yet he joins a lengthy history of Three Lions goal scorers. Who are the other England goal scorers' at the legendary Wembley stadium?
8. Frank Lampard: 12
Following debuting for England in 1999, Lampard participated in 106 games. At the UEFA Euro 2004 and three FIFA World Cups (2006, 2010, and 2014), he represented his nation. Lampard is one of the best scorers at Wembley and netted 29 goals for England, overall.
7. David Platt: 16
He joined Aston Villa at the age of 22, when he caught the eye of England manager Bobby Robson and quickly made his debut. Platt improved his status at the 1990 World Cup with strong performances and goals scored with both his head and foot. Platt "seized Bryan Robson's character with enthralling flair," according Rob Bagchi in The Guardian. He became one of the top players for the Three Lions because to his World Cup achievements.
6. Geoff Hurst: 16
Hurst was successful in the 1966 World Cup, scored 24 goals overall in 49 England games, and is still the only player to have ever scored in a World Cup final. He also participated in the FIFA World Cup in 1970 and the 1968 UEFA Euro. Prior to focusing on football, he enjoyed a limited cricket career, playing one first-class match for Essex in 1962.
5. Jimmy Greaves: 17
At the club level, Kane has Greaves' Tottenham record has already broken by the present England captain has expressed a desire to one day exceed. Greaves is seventh on this list with an average of two goals every four games (0.77 goals per game), he has scored 117 goals at England home stadium in his career.
4. Alan Shearer: 18
Shearer was one of England's most productive goal scorers in history.
Big Al's 260 Premier League goals record appears to be secure for the foreseeable future, but his position as England's all-time leading scorer at Wembley may not. Nonetheless, the former captain's 18 points in 63 games is a fantastic performance considering his exploits at Euro 96 nearly brought football to its knees.
3. Wayne Rooney: 19
Rooney, who is also the fielder with the most caps for England, only netted once in the World Cup finals, against Uruguay in 2014, but his six goals at the European Championship place him fourth among England's top goalscorers at major competitions, after Harry Kane, Gary Lineker, and Alan Shearer.

2. Harry Kane: 22
In approximately seven years of playing for the international team, Kane scored 50 goals. After successfully scoring a penalty against Italy in a Euro 2024 qualifier, he overtook Wayne Rooney as England's most scorer at age 29 and earned the World Cup Golden Boot in 2018.
It's unclear how many goals he has to score to keep that position; he is now one goal short of Wembely's all-time record.
1. Bobby Charlton: 23
Only two months after weathering the Munich air tragedy, which claimed the lives of eight of his Manchester United teammates, Charlton scored on his debut in 1958. By 1963, he had broken the previous record of 30 goals for England set by Sir Tom Finney and Nat Lofthouse, and in the 1966 semifinal, he scored twice to come up one goal shy of the century mark. Rooney eventually surpassed both his United and England records.
