The Gambian Hurricane is attracting serious attention from Europe's top clubs.

Adama Bojang, 18, of Gambia, is a rising star who has caught the attention of European teams thanks to a run of brilliant performances. Napoli will compete with Tottenham for his services.

Leaders in the Italian league Serie A, Napoli are prepared to compete with Tottenham for highly regarded teenage attacker Adama Bojang.

Gambia's breakthrough star

With his goal-scoring heroics at the last AFCON U20 Championships, when the "Young Scorpions" ended the competition as runners-up to Senegal, the 18-year-old has emerged as the biggest emerging star in his native Gambia.

Bojang, known as "The Gambian Hurricane," is a prolific goal scorer who plays for Steve Biko FC. However, it was his performances for his nation while in Egypt last month, particularly a hat-trick against South Sudan and the game-winning goal against Nigeria in the semifinal, that caught the attention of club scouts from all over Europe.

A transfer target globally

In order to be approved for a work permit, Premier League clubs would have to loan him out first since they consider him to be a player of the future.

In that regard, foreign teams would benefit because teams from the Premier League and Napoli, like Royal Antwerp, are hot on Bojang's heels.

In order to make room for player cuts this summer, Nottingham Forest, who was also interested in Bojang, has shelved that pursuit.

Forest manager Steve Cooper brought in 21 new players during the summer transfer window to help the newly promoted team in their fight to stay in the English top division, making them the Premier League's top recruiters.

Bojang's quotes

Speaking after becoming the first Gambian to score a hat trick in a CAF tournament at the start of March, Bojang said: "I feel so excited to score a hat trick, these are my first goals in this tournament," he said.

"Coming to his tournament and showing my talent to Africa and the world, and having a hat-trick for my country as a youngster, is so amazing.

'We are preparing strongly and scoring goals is very important," Bojang told the media.
